Located on the prominent corner of Broadway and Third Streets in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA, Shy Bird occupies a space at the nexus of education, innovation, and technology within the Cambridge community. The space is purposefully designed to be experienced throughout the day whether enjoying a cup of coffee with the rising sun, ordering a fresh rotisserie chicken sandwich from the to-go counter, or sipping a glass of wine at the full-service bar as the night winds down. The space effectively has three public-facing sides, including the large swing door that opens Shy Bird into the Cambridge Innovation Center's (CIC) building lobby. Responding to that, a large marquee bulkhead anchors and centers the space calling out to passersby and building patrons alike while also drawing attention to the ordering counter, full-service bar, and the prominent rotisserie - the backbone of Shy Bird's service and whimsical namesake.
